UX/UI Design
I’m a senior UX designer with over a decade of experience shaping products, systems, and services across highly regulated, enterprise environments. My work lives at the intersection of strategy, accessibility, and scale—often driving adoption, documentation, and internal alignment as much as pixels.
My background blends design systems leadership, DesignOps, and UX for technical teams, enabling me to bridge gaps between users, engineers, and stakeholders. I thrive in environments where clarity and efficiency aren’t just values—they’re requirements.

User research synthesis and journey mapping
Experience Highlights
Edward Jones – UX Designer II* (DesignOps)
2020–Present
Designed and maintained enterprise-wide Figma libraries with accessibility baked into the foundation
Led efforts to standardize design tooling, tokens, and governance, reducing fragmentation across product teams
Created and evolved internal documentation, onboarding flows, and async workflows to scale design quality
Initiated and led the Figma AI pilot program, securing stakeholder buy-in and rolling out feature usage guidelines
Helped secure funding and support for Edward Jones’ first dedicated Accessibility Working Group, contributing to early standards and design reviews
Supported research and workshops to better understand the needs of developers, PMs, and content strategists
* I was initially hired on as a Senior UX Designer contractor via Creative Circle. They offered me an associate position at the firm about a year in, but the only job req open was as a UX Designer II, and it paid more and was more permanent than the contract role, so I took it. And my team has not been able to get funding for a senior job req since. But I can assure you my responsibilities and skillset are very senior.
Freelance & Past Roles
Designed consumer experiences for web, mobile, and hybrid platforms
Created flows, wireframes, and visual designs for clients in finance, B2B SaaS, e-commerce, and non-profits
Consulted on design system setup for early-stage teams, introducing scalable libraries and documentation best practices
Technology & Tools
Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, Zeplin, Balsamiq, Protopie – wireframing and prototyping, component libraries, documentation, plugin integration
Zeroheight – system documentation and internal UX standards
Adobe Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, XD
Miro, Mural, & FigJam – workshops, user flows, team collaboration
Jira, Confluence, Trello – design tickets, async tracking
HTML/CSS – for prototyping, developer collaboration, and accessibility checks
PowerPoint, Notion, & Loom – async presentations, UX documentation
Why This Matters
My design approach is built on clarity, documentation, and inclusivity. Whether I’m leading a Figma pilot, refining component libraries, or scaling design to support 1,000+ contributors, my goal is always the same: empower great teams to ship great experiences.

Checkout Redesign - Assessing, redesigning, and conducting research on an e-commerce checkout
Hotspots Diagrams – A pretty complex ask, as the diagrams we had from the catalog department could not be modified, but having a diagram of a system can be a game-changer for people buying parts for an overhaul. So I had to figure out how to shoe-horn that functionality into the website as gracefully as possible.
Pilot Same Day Documentation – I was part of our Same Day Delivery pilot, where I turned business requirements and physical shipping limitations into a usable and intuitive end user experience.
UX Process, Design Deliverables – I was the first full-fledged UX Designer hired by O’Reilly. I brought some expectations to our new team and business partners, including moving from Adobe Photoshop for mockups to Adobe XD, resulting in higher-fidelity, interactive prototypes with easier developer handoff. This is a super simplified process, as the company had never interfaced with UX before.
Curated Shipping Method Logic – We had this issue where unhelpful delivery options would display to a customer – for example, one method was delivered tomorrow for free, another was delivered in 5 days and cost $10. I wrote the logic for developers to show only useful options for end users.
